Join the Northwest Concert Band for our 2025 Spring Concert on Saturday March 29th at 3pm. The concert theme is "Composers, Hearts, and Legends". Be serenaded with "The Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera, composed by the Phantom to woo his love. Be enchanted by "The Music-Makers" by Alfred Reed, filled with the almost palpable joy of making music. And be uplifted with music from "Mr. Holland's Opus", a story about a music teacher who desires nothing more than to compose a symphony and who ends up changing the lives of all around him for the better.

A highlight of the program will be the Third Movement (Rondo) from the Clarinet Concerto by W. A. Mozart, k. 622, with a clarinet solo by Howard Green, director of the Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band. We are also honored to play "Overture to a New World" by Northwest Concert Band's very own Randy Steinberg.

Join us for this heartwarming concert at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows (click here). Admission is $10 for adults payable at the door. Ages 18 and younger attend for free. For more information about the band, videos of past performances, or to join the band’s mailing list, please go to www.northwestconcertband.org or email nwcb.media@gmail.com.

Randy Steinberg has conducted the band since May 2018. Mr. Steinberg plays several instruments and received his musical education at Roosevelt University. He has taught music as a high school band director and is a prolific arranger and composer. Greg Mullen is our Assistant Conductor and principal clarinetist in the band. Mr. Mullen also plays saxophone in area jazz bands.

The band is supported in part by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and by donations from our audience.
