Spring Concert: At the Movies

Hollywood has entertained us for years with great movies and their memorable music soundtracks. From tragic to blissful, from frightening to exciting, come be entertained at a concert of musical movie highlights.

John Williams, famous for creating some of the most popular movie scores in history, composed three of the selections in the program, “The Cowboys”, “Dartmoor 1912”, and “Far and Away”. Other selections include “Hooray for Hollywood”, “Grovers Corners”, “Titanic”, “Robin Hood Symphonic Suite”, “Back to The Future”, and “He So Loved the World” featuring Cary Hollander on alto sax. Randy Steinberg, the band’s longtime conductor, leads the band. He is also a respected composer who arranged several of the pieces being performed.
